Our prominence in the North is backed by our committed team of seasoned transportation, construction and logistical experts. We employ up to 120 permanent employees and up to 450 seasonal. RTL emphasizes flexibility, training, clear regulations and excellent employee benefits. Combining our commitment to the North with sound business practices, RTL only hires employees from southern Canada if qualified candidates are not available in the north.

Training is a major consideration at RTL. Our training programs are tailored to suit the skills and aptitude of the individual. Some employees have built on existing skills, while others were hired with little or no experience. Inexperienced drivers have been trained to become Class 1 drivers and inexperienced operators have become certified heavy equipment operators. Training programs have been conducted in conjunction with Arctic College under the guidance and direction of RTL in northern remote communities such as Lutsel K’e and Wha Ti.
